Adeleke Administration Will Not Sacrifice Workers' Welfare; Dialogue Remains the Best Option, Osun Govt Tells UNIOSUNTH UNIONS. Osogbo, September 12, 2026. The Osun State Government has urged the leadership of the Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU) and the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) at the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, to abandon any plan to embark on industrial action over the proposed Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement for Laboratory Services, stressing that the PPP is in the best interest of the hospital, its workers and, most importantly, the people of Osun State. The Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Health, Dr Akindele Adekunle, made the appeal while assuring the unions that the proposed arrangement is neither privatisation nor a scheme to displace existing workers, but a strategic reform aimed at improving the hospital's capacity and service delivery.
