OSSIEC CHAIRMANSHIP: Federal High Court, Osogbo  Dismisses APC's suit against Hassim Abioye. Justice Nathaniel Ayo Emmanuel of the Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo has dismissed a suit filed by the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC challenging the appointment of Barrister Hashim Abioye as chairman of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, OSSIEC. It was gathered that the Osun APC had filed a suit, number FHC/OS/CS/02/2024 challenging Abioye's appointment as chairman of the commission, alleging that he is a card-carrying member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. The Osun APC had joined the state governor, Ademola Adeleke, the Osun State House of Assembly, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, OSSIEC and Barr. Abioye as defendants.
