The Attack on Ilesa West PDP Gathering: IBK Sues for Peace, Calls on Nigerian Police to Arrest Omowaye and Tobi Famurewa for Investigation. Ilesa, February 17, 2025 It is deeply concerning that a peaceful gathering of PDP members in Ilesa West was violently disrupted. Since when has it become a crime for law-abiding citizens to assemble peacefully? The attack, allegedly led by Remi Omowaye and Tobi Famurewa, marked a tragic turn in our democratic process. These individuals, claiming to have the backing of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola, appear determined to forcefully take over the government of Osun State. This blatant act of aggression cannot go unpunished. I call on the Nigerian Police to arrest and investigate them to ensure justice is served. In line with the directives of our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Asiwaju Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, I urge all PDP members in Ilesa West to refrain from visiting the Local Government Secretariat for now, as we ...
