Osun Acting Chairman admonished members to be law abiding and shun divisive tendencies.

PRESS RELEASE.

It has come to the notice of the State Working Committee and State Executive Committee of Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party that some elements within the party have embarked on suspension and removal of our loyal party members based on spurious allegations without constitutional backing to take such decisions.

In the light of the above and in full compliance with the provisions of our party's constitution, the Osun State Executives have held an emergency meeting on the matter and arrived at the following decisions.

1. That the reading public should discountenance the purported removal and consequent replacement of our party officers as contained in their unauthorized release to the effect because it was all premised on illegality.

2. That Hon. Sunday Bisi legally remains the Osun State Publicity Secretary of the PDP and not the State Chairman as being criminally touted around.

3. That assuming without conceding that they have the requisite authority of replacement, the outcome has clearly shown the impunity, lawless tendencies and flagrant disrespect for the relevant provisions of our party's constitution and other extant laws of the land with which they would have embarked upon to destabilize our party in Osun State.

4. That it’s trite in law that judgement of any court of competent jurisdiction is valid and subsisting until it is upturned or vacated by an Appeal Court.

5. We also like to use this opportunity to wish our National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, all members of the National Working Committee, BoT members, members of the PDP governors' forum, members of  the South West Zonal Executives,  Osun State Working Committee and State Executives Committee members, Critical stakeholders and leaders of our party home and abroad, especially our leader in the South West Region, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Abiodun Seyi Makinde, loving, loyal and persevere citizens of osun state Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year.
