WALE OJO CONGRATULATES DOTUN BABAYEMI, SAYS PDP WILL WIN IN JULY.

The Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Barrister Wale Ojo has congratulated the newly elected gubernatorial candidate of the party, Omooba Dotun Babayemi on his victory at the polls yesterday, 8th March, 2022.

Barrister Ojo in a statement which was made available to the press said, yesterday’s action was premised on obedience and compliance with the rule of law purposely to avoid the bubby trap that the ruling party, APC has set for us in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
Ojo added the decision to hold the primary at WOCDIF Centre was to avoid unnecessary litigation that may come up if the party disobey the rule of law and pronouncements of the High Court of Justice that stopped the party from using certain delegates due to violence.

He however, assured that the emergence of Prince Dotun Babayemi will heal up all fractures that the prolonged crises in the party may have caused.

He therefore appealed to all party leaders, elders and members of the party to remain united, especially the ardent followers of other aspirants of the party to see the ticket given to Omooba Dotun Babayemi as a ticket for all PDP members in the state.

According to Barrister Wale Ojo, “PDP is a law abiding political party that will continue to uphold the rule of law which was why we have the party’s NEC members from Osun State at WOCDIF, like Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, Erelu Olusola Obada, Dr. Olu Alabi and many other NEC members of the party all of who know that it is only the State Chairman of the party and not any organs of the party that can call the state congress to elect the gubernatorial candidate of the party. Ojo added further that whoever that went to another venue did so in abeyance to the rule of law.

Finally, he calls for calm among party members with assurances that the law will take its course and everything will be straightened out soon.
