He further stated that he hope that the National Working Committee will add some state to their assignments as time goes on.

Hon. Adagunodo, in his final remarks also applauded the decision of the NWC in setting up the Committee. He hinged his hope and that of his members on the quality and experience of people the party has assembled together for the very important assignment. He assured the team of their readiness to provide all the support they may need in delivering their assignment.
The committee, after the meeting, also paid the leader of the party in the South West, H.E. Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, a courtesy visit in his office.

The SRC Chairman of the Committee, Barrister Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, who formally introduced his Committee members and the Zonal Executive Members of the party present to the governor said their mandate is basically to find practicable means of ending all rifts and disagreements within the fold of the party in the region, especially in Lagos and Osun. He noted that the imminent isolated gubernatorial election in Osun has made it urgent for the Committee to swing into action without further delays.

He pledged the sincerity of his Committee members who are men of integrity to the governor and leadership of the party, not just at the Zonal but also at the national levels.
He further assured the governor that the committee will do a thorough job and make sure that true reconciliations of all warring factions are achieved so that the party can go into the elections in those two States united as an assured way to achieve success.

Responding, the leader of the party in the South West, Governor Seyi Makinde implored the Reconciliation Committee to be bold and explore all avenues that will ensure true and genuine reconciliation.

He added that the Committee should be bold enough to call a spade, a spade by telling whoever that contributed to the division in the two states to desist from their divisive tendencies, no matter how highly or lowly placed they may be.

The governor added that if it is the National Working Committee, Zonal Working Committee, NEC or BoT members, leaders or individuals that are creating problems, including himself, either overtly or covertly, the Committee must be courageous in calling them to order.

He registered his belief in the ability of the Committee to resolve the issues amicably, permanently without hurting, injuring all tendencies or anybody or jeopardizing the essence of setting up the Committee by the NWC of the party.
