Sen. Oyewumi Bags Distinguished Leadership Award In Adult Education and Community Development


At the 2024 International Conference on Education held at Osun State University College of Education, Ipetu Ijesha, the institution's management honored Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Sen. Lere Oyewumi, with Distinguished Leadership Award in adult education and community development. This recognition highlights Sen. Oyewumi's outstanding contributions to promoting adult education and enhancing community development initiatives.


Receiving the award on behalf of Senator Oyewumi, the Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President, Dr. Aderele Olayanju, accompanied by Prince Timilehin Popoola expressed Sen. Oyewumi gratitude to the institution's management for bestowing such an honor on him. He noted that the lawmaker will continue be a good ambassador for both the school and Osun state, underscoring his commitment to fostering educational and community development at all levels.


Senator Lere Oyewumi however appreciated the leadership of the Institute for identifying with him, described the honour as a challenge for more works in the institution. He noted that he'll engage all relevant stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.
