Osun OSSIEC Chairman Appreciates both Ad-Hoc and permanent Staff of Commission for good Conduct during LG elections.

Osogbo February 24, 2025.

The Osun State Chairman of OSSIEC, Barrister Hassim Abioye has showered encomiums and praises on both Ad-Hoc and permanent Staff of the Commission for their bravery and and good conducts during the Saturday, 22, 2025 Osun LG election despite intimidation and harassment from men of Nigerian Police. Below is his address to the staff.

Dear EOs & AEOs,

I want to sincerely thank all of you for your cooperation and dedication in the discharge of your responsibilities. We had a plan but the security agents disrupted all the plans and frustrated us, but in the end, we survived against all the odds. We considered the security threats to the electorate, our staff and also our property, that was why we adopted that emergency and last minute strategy in handling the election and the logistics involved. We succeeded at last.

I hereby assure all of you that we are together in the boat of success and we shall not capsize, we will sail through, swim through and shall not sink insha Allah. Note that each and everyone of you is meaningful to us. We will communicate you in due course and as soon as our premises are safe for operations.

Pls note that the commission is aware of all staff arrested by the Police while on duty and our legal team is already working towards ensuring their release. Also, allowances of all Ad-hoc staff will be paid in due course.

My sincere appreciation to all the commission members, staff and ad-hoc staff for their cooperation, support and commitment to ensure that the exercise was successful and hitch-free.

We are together.
Love you all.

Hashim Akintunde Abioye, Esq.
Chairman, OSSIEC
