Osun commissioner felicitates Oba Oyesosin at 90, 52 years on the throne.

Osogbo, January 26, 2026.

Osun state Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, Hon. George Alabi, has described the Ogiyan of Ejigboland, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode Oyesosin, JP, as a symbol of wisdom and stability in Ejigboland.

The Commissioner said this when he paid homage to Oba Oyesosin in celebration of his 90th birthday and 52 years reign as the Ogiyan of Ejigboland. 

Alabi emphasised that the reign of Oba Oyesosin had been marked by peace, unity, and remarkable development, adding, 

“Kabiyesi remains a symbol of wisdom and stability in Ejigboland”.

While congratulating Oba Oyesosin on the rare milestone and prayed for continued good health, strength, and longevity, the Ejigbo-born grassroots politician, reaffirmed his commitment to the progress and unity of Ejigboland.

He also used the occasion to sensitize guests of Kabiyesi to show appreciation to the performing Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke and his exemplary Infrastructural developments the government had impacted to Ejigbo land in the last 3 years, comparing it with total neglect by previous administrations.

Hon. Alabi also assured Ejigbo indigenes to keep supporting Governor Ademola Adeleke so that he will be able to increase the dividends of democracy and do more for Ejigbo land and other parts of the State which he has been doing without discrimination.

He therefore congratulated Kabiyesi for witnessing the current development taking place under the current administration and pray to God to spare Kabiyesi's life to witness more developments in Ejigbo land in particular and Osun State in general.
