Mass Defection Hits APC in Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Federal Constituency

02-06-2024 - Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Federal Constituency
The ruling party in Osun State, The People's Democratic Party (PDP) welcomed Hundred of members from the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Federal Constituency.
This significant turn of events took place during a meeting with the Member, House of Representative from the federal constituency, Hon. Clement Ademola Akanni (Olohunwa) Farmers' Support Programme (O'FSP 24).
The transition from the former party APC to the PDP was led by Hon. Wasiu Aderemi, a former chairman of Ifedayo Area Council and other APC party stalwarts in Ifedayo Local Government Area of Osun State.

The defection highlights the need to be politically affiliated with the People's Democratic Party (PDP) as it is an avenue for true patriotism, humanity, hearty service and personal development. In their words, "joining PDP is a way of commemorating the contribution of the Party's Leaders and Members who are naturally patriotic."

The state party Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi was ably represented by the State Deputy Chairman, Alhaji Yekeen Kasali, who received the defectors to the party, alongside the party Secretary, Hon. Prince Bola Ajao.

While accepting their defection into the party, Hon. Clement Ademola Akanni (OLOHUNWA) charged each of them to be sportsmanship, and loyal and make efforts to contribute to the growth of the party and also to the growth and development of their respective areas and he assured them of being rewarded by God Almighty. Hon. Clement Akanni (Olohunwa) also mentioned that another set of group will soon join the ruling party.

It is with no doubt that the defection of these viable individuals will bring about storms and winds in the composition of the APC in their respective areas and the state as a whole.
