Olaoluwa Asejere Receives Newly Elected Osun CDC Executives, Affirms Governor's Support to Osun CDC


Earlier today, Alhaji Abdul-Ganiyu Olaoluwa (Asejere), Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, received the newly elected zonal and state executives of the Osun Community Development Council (CDC), led by State Chairman Alhaji Agbajelola Salam, in his popular Blue and White Hotel, Oke Onitea.

In his opening remarks, the Commissioner congratulated all the newly elected executives at the local, zonal and state levels on their new offices. 

He highlighted Governor Ademola Adeleke's deep interest in  CDC and his commitment to supporting the new executives throughout their tenure. He acknowledged the presence of all the political functionaries and ministry top officials present, despite the ongoing workers' strike.

The Chairman, Osun State CDC, Alhaji Agbajelola Salam, in his response commended the sterling performance of the governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for executing various projects across the state. He stated that CDC had it better during the PDP regime of Former Governor Oyinlola, and that CDC shall have it best under the promising era of Asiwaju Adeleke PDP led administration. 

Special Adviser to the Governor on RAMP,  Hon Mrs Moji Omisore tasked the new leadership of CDC of maximum cooperation, unity, team work and honesty among themselves. 

Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Development, Hon. Nurudeen Emiloju, emphasized four key principles for effective governance within the CDC: Group democracy, equity and social Justice, accountability and straightforward leadership. Urging them to emulate the aforementioned for the progress of their tenure.

Alhaji Sulaiman Akanji Bello (Cee Bee), Special Adviser on RARA reminded the newly elected executives of their responsibilities and the trust placed in them by the community, wishing them success during and after their tenure.

The Ministry's Permanent Secretary, ESV Oladapo Fasina also extended his congratulations to the new executives and in the same vein, he urged them to be committed to their duties and discharge them accordingly to uplift the good image of the government in the communities. 

Asejere further highlighted the vital roles of CDC at local, zonal and state levels in addressing community needs through self-help initiatives.

He also announced that Governor Adeleke had approved the donation of three cars for the State Chairman, his deputy, and the secretary, as well as a bus for other executives which would be presented to them in no distant time. This initiative aims to facilitate the executive work and further demonstrates the Governor's unwavering support for community development in Osun State.
