Clarification on Leadership of the Oyo State Chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS)

Date: August 29, 2024

Clarification on Leadership of the Oyo State Chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS)
The National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS) wishes to inform the public and all stakeholders that it has come to our notice that certain individuals, Princess Aderonke Rahmat Adedoja and Alhaji Fatai Usman Abolanle are unlawfully parading themselves as the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson, respectively, of the Oyo State chapter of NANTS.

We would like to clarify that Chief (Mrs) Odunayo Kayode Danjuma remains the legitimate Chairperson of the Oyo State chapter and the current National Women Leader of the Association.

Her leadership has been recognized and validated by the national body and she has served diligently, including her previous role as a Special Adviser to the Oyo State Government in the last dispensation.

In light of this, we strongly advise the government, business owners and the general public to refrain from engaging with impostors, Adedoja and Usman, in any capacity that would undermine the recognized leadership of Chief (Mrs) Odunayo Kayode Danjuma as we would not hesitate to take legal action against individuals or group of people involved.

We reaffirm our commitment to support the Oyo State government under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Abiodun Oluseyi Makinde and his initiatives as we continue to advocate for the interests of traders in the region. The integrity of our leadership is paramount, and we urge all members and stakeholders to remain united and be vigilant against these unauthorized representations.

Signed✍️

Hon. Apesin Abiodun Adegoke.
Southwest Secretary
National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS)
Southwest Chapter.
