The Deputy Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Akinyode Abidemi Oyewusi has charged Nigerians to be alive to their responsibilities of building our nation and ensuring its development and emancipation.

In his words, Rt. Hon. Oyewusi said Nigeria at 64 is still struggling to fix her many challenges with a view to ensuring that we meet up with the yearnings of our founding fathers who fought for our self rule.
In his words Oyewusi added "Sixty-four years ago, we gained our independence, taking charge of our destiny and striving to build a nation that works for everyone."

"While many moments have affirmed the visions of our founding fathers, there have also been challenges that tested our resolve."

"As we continue to strive for a country that truly serves all of its citizens, it is crucial that you and I remain actively involved in the goal of genuine and total national emancipation."
