Health Centre Fire: Osun Assembly Deputy Chief Whip Commiserates with the Community, Assures Swift Actions. 

Osogbo, 13 January, 2025


Hon. Biodun Ibrahim, (Saint Abbey), member representing Ola-Oluwa State Constituency at the Osun State House of Assembly, has commiserated with the people of Telemu in Ola-Oluwa local government over the fire incidence of Sure-P 2014 Project, Health Centre located at Telemu. 

Hon. Biodun expressed his grief just as he thanked God that no life was lost to the incidence. 

Addressing the public, he said in a message he sent which was made available to the media, the Honourable wrote: 
"I am deeply saddened to hear about the recent fire outbreak at Sure-P 2014 Project, Health Centre, Telemu in Ola-Oluwa local government. The government owned Health Centre, which has been serving the community, providing essential healthcare services for the people in the community and nearby towns, even with the limited human resources, which can not be shy away from. With the service rendered, it is heartbreaking to witness the damage it has recently sustained.

"The fire outbreak has unarguably caused damage to the health centre, disrupting essential services that were provided to the community. Thankfully, no life was recorded lost, and no one was injured while everyone around the place was safely evacuated from the building.

"While this incident is unfortunate, I want to reassure the people of Ola-Oluwa State Constituency that every effort is being put together to ensure that healthcare services continue to be available and following the Yoruba says 'Ile oba to jo, ewa lobu si'. I remain committed to working alongside local authorities and government agencies to restore the health centre and improve the overall safety of our public health infrastructure.
