Osun Deputy Speaker Eulogizes Nigerian Military for their Sacrifices on This year's Army Remembrance Day Celebration. 

Osogbo, January 15, 2025.

The Deputy Speaker of Osun State, Rt. Hon. Akinyode Oyewusi has showered encomium on the Nigerian Military men, late and living for their utmost sacrifices in defending the territorial integrity of their nation of birth.

According to his message of a release personally signed by him which was made available to the press Oyewusi appreciated the men of valour and dedication for their sacrifice and determination to lay their lives for the service to their fathers land.

However, Oyewusi wrote "on this occasion of Armed Forces Remembrance Day, we honour the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve in our military.

"General George S. Patton said, “The highest obligation and privilege of citizenship is that of bearing arms for one's country.” In doing so, they fulfill a debt to our nation that, as President Barack Obama remarked, “we can never fully repay.”

"Today, we reflect on their sacrifice, courage, and commitment to protecting our freedoms. Let us remember their dedication and the cost of peace, ensuring that their service is never forgotten.
