Aare Asejere Congratulates Newly Elected Local Government Chairmen and Councillors, Commends OSSIEC

Osogbo, February 23, 2025.

Aare Ganiyu Olaoluwa Ayobami, the Honourable Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs in Osun State and the Aare Gbadero of Ifon Orolu Kingdom, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected local government chairmen and councillors across the state.

He commended the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) for organizing a free, fair, credible, and transparent election, which has further strengthened democracy and grassroots governance in the state.

Aare Asejere described the victory of the newly elected officials as a reflection of the people's confidence in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s visionary leadership and commitment to grassroots development.

He urged the new officeholders to emulate Governor Adeleke by ensuring good governance, delivering democratic dividends, and fostering inclusive leadership at the local government level.

The successful conduct of the local government elections in Osun State signifies a process that underscores the unwavering commitment of the Adeleke-led administration to participatory democracy.
