Osogbo, February 6th, 2025.

The Honourable Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, Hon. George Alabi who also doubles as the initiator of the Osun Indigenes in Cote D'Ivoire courtesy visitation to the governor, has expressed his profound appreciation to Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, for his exceptional leadership and warm reception of Osun indigenes residing in Côte d'Ivoire at the Excos Lounge.

According to an official statement released today by the Governor's Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, a delegation of Osun indigenes in Côte d'Ivoire, led by Chief Timothy Adegboyega, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Adeleke.

During the visit, the group praised the governor's outstanding performance in the past two years, emphasizing that his administration's developmental strides have reached every corner of the state.

As the initiator and facilitator of the visit, Hon. George Alabi lauded the governor's dedication of addressing the concerns of Osun citizens residing in Cote D'Ivoire. He particularly commended Governor Adeleke's assurance to reconstruct the long-neglected Iwo-Ejigbo road, a crucial route that connects four local government areas—Ayedire, Ejigbo, Olaoluwa, and Iwo.

Hon. George Alabi noted that Governor Adeleke's achievements have not only transformed Osun State but have also resonated beyond borders, reaching the Yoruba community in Côte d'Ivoire, which boasts a population of nearly two million people.

The high-profile courtesy visit was graced by key government officials, including Deputy Governor Prince Kola Adewusi, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, Head of Service Mr. Aina Ayanleye, and several commissioners, among whom were Hon. Rasheed Aderibigbe (Home Affairs), Rev. Bunmi Jenyo (Commerce and Industry), Prince Bayo Ogungbagbe (Cooperative and Empowerment), and Dr. Biyi Odunlade (Intergovernmental Relations and Political Affairs) and other eminent personalities

Chief Timothy Adegboyega, President of the Osun Indigenes in Côte d'Ivoire, was accompanied by notable figures such as Hon. Giwa Maojib (SSA on Diaspora) and Alhaja Monsurat Giwa.

The visit reaffirmed Governor Adeleke's commitment to inclusive governance, ensuring that Osun citizens—both at home and abroad—benefit from his administration's progressive policies.
