After leading the opening prayer and recitation of the National/Osun Anthem, the House approved the proceedings of Tuesday, 18th March, 2025, after the motion had been moved and seconded by Hon. Babajide Kofoworola Adewunmi and Hon. Sanmi Areoye.

MESSAGE FROM THE SPEAKER
The speaker read the letter he received from Hon. Adeyemi Adewumi to introduce a private member bill titled Osun State Communal Crises Management Bill, 2025.
The speaker also announced a Seven-Member committee to plan and coordinate activities for the Second Year Anniversary of the 8th Osun State House of Assembly.
The Committee is expected to design a commemorative programme that highlights our legislative achievements, promotes institutional visibility, and strengthens public engagement.
The members of the Anniversary Planning Committee are as follows:
1. Hon. Babajide Adewunmi – Chairman
2. Hon. Abiola Awoyeye – Deputy Chairman
3. Hon. Olawale Akerele – Member
4. Hon. Tajudeen Adeyemi – Member
5. Hon. Bamidele Lawal – Member
6. Hon. Folorunso Ogundare – Member
7. Hon. Abiola Ibrahim – Member
The Clerk of the House, Mr. Simeon Amusan, shall serve as Secretary to the Committee.

IMPORTANCE
Honourable Adekunle Oladimeji, representing Irepodun/Orolu State Constituency, raised the communal crises in his state constituency.
He commended the governor for his proactive measures and also the security personnel for being able to curtail the crises. He then submitted the following prayers on behalf of his people.
■ Relief Material from state government and OSEMA for the displaced victims
■ Establishment of temporary camp for the displaced.
■ Provision of trauma service to the people in that area.
Hon. Babajide Kofoworola Adewunmi, Hon. Olumide Fatunmise, Hon. Adeyemi Adewunmi, Hon. Olawale Akerele and Hon. Abiola Awoyeye, in their various contributions applauded the Governor for his quick intervention in the age long communal crises. They commended his resolve to ensure that permanent peace is established in that area. They supported the prayers of Hon. Adekunle Oladimeji and also urge all stakeholders in that area to embrace peace.
The added by giving a stern warning to those peddling fake information, uploading old videos and instigating the violence by one way or the other for political purposes or others or to desist forthwith.
The Honourable Speaker then instructed the House Committee on Judicial matters to conduct a thorough investigation on the crises and report back to the House.
