Osun Speaker, Members Restate Commitment to Executive Arm, PDP

...Debunk Defection Rumour

The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun and the members of the assembly have restated their unavowed commitment to the executive arm of government under the leadership of His Excellency, Asiwaju Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the Executive Governor of the state.

A statement issued on behalf of the speaker by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Olamide Tiamiyu emphasised that the 25 lawmakers who are PDP members of the assembly are solidly behind the governor and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The statement further observed that those peddling the lies of defection are doing so to shortchange their paymasters, noting that nothing of such has ever happened and it will not happen.

The statement read: "The 25 PDP members of the Osun State House of Assembly are solidly behind the Governor and remain committed to the party."

"Those peddling the lies about defection are doing so to shortchange their paymasters as nothing of such has happened and will not happen."

"The 8th Osun assembly will continue to corroborate with the Governor to ensure imapctful governance of the citizens and development of the state."

The assembly, however, called on the governor not to be distracted by the alarm of the noise-makers, urging him to remain committed to his goals of transforming the state and the people.

"We urged the Governor not to be deterred by the noise of the noise-makers but should remain committed to his goals to transform the state and the people"

"We appreciate the people of Osun State and appeal for their continuous support for the PDP led government under the leadership of His Excellency Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke," the statement concluded.
