Osun Govt Committed to Strategic Medical Blueprint for its Citizens - Dr. Akindele.
Osogbo, October 6, 2025.
The Osun State government has reiterated its commitment to strategic medical care for its citizens.
The government stated this on Monday through the Special Adviser on Public Health to the Governor, Dr Adekunle Akindele, at the "Osun State 2026 Annual Operational Plan Development, Harmonization, and Finalization Workshop."
While welcoming every participant to the one-day workshop for health professionals, organisations and designated associates, Dr Akindele said, "This workshop serves as a pivotal platform for aligning our Health Sector Strategic Blueprint and actions with the state's development agenda.
He said, "The Annual Operational Plan (AOP) serves as the guiding roadmap that directs our policies, programs, and resource allocations. It ensures that all health agencies’ efforts are harmonized, prevents duplication, and maximizes their impact for the benefit of our citizens."
Speaking further, Dr. Akindele reiterated the Osun State government commitment to serving the populace better through an outlined medical blueprint for the state.
"On behalf of the Osun State Government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke, I reaffirm our unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and evidence-based planning. We will persistently cultivate conducive environments for innovation and ensure that resources are allocated to priority areas that will yield the most significant benefits for our citizens.
"I strongly encourage all participants to actively engage, contribute significantly, and maintain unwavering focus on our shared objective: enhancing the overall quality of life for every resident of Osun State."
Dr Akindele thereafter affirmed that, "this year's workshop holds particular significance as we endeavor to consolidate our achievements and address emerging challenges while securing substantial success in the Human Capital Opportunities for Prosperity and Equity (HOPE) disbursement-linked indicators.
"To achieve this, we must adopt an innovative, data-driven, and inclusive approach, ensuring that no individual is left behind as we establish our priorities for 2026," he concluded.
