In a strategic move aimed at strengthening youth participation in regional political development, the Asejere Youth Vanguard has officially announced the appointment of its pioneer executive members. The unveiling of this leadership cohort marks a pivotal step in structuring the organization’s internal framework and sharpening its operational direction.

According to a statement released by the BOT Chairman, Comr. Adigun Olaide, the Asejere Youth Vanguard was established as a forward-looking movement designed to cultivate political awareness among young citizens, enhance civic engagement, and foster responsible leadership within the senatorial district. The group emphasizes that its overarching vision is to serve as an intellectual engine room for youth mobilization, community empowerment, voter enlightenment and policy advocacy.

The appointed executive members include:

Comr. David Ojewale – Coordinator

Hon. Job Francis Omo Imole – General Secretary

Elénìyàn Amos Oyeyemi – Publicity Secretary/Spokesperson

Comr. Salaudeen S. Olawale – Organizing Secretary

Comr. Okedokun T. Afeez – Treasurer

Comr. Adekanmi H. Ibukun – Welfare Coordinator

The leadership team is expected to drive the organization’s mandate, which encompasses political education, strategic mobilization, socio-economic advocacy and youth development initiatives. Central to this mandate is the Vanguard’s intensified focus on voter’s education and grassroots mobilization; two critical pillars that the group believes are essential for strengthening democratic participation and ensuring youth voices translate into electoral influence.

The Vanguard stated that its mobilization drive will involve door-to-door sensitization, digital outreach, community dialogue sessions, and coordinated ward-level engagements aimed at encouraging eligible youths to register, update their voter information, and participate actively in elections. It further emphasized that voter’s education will center on combating misinformation, promoting peaceful participation, and enlightening first-time voters on the power of their ballots in shaping governance outcomes.

In alignment with its ideological orientation and commitment to responsible representation, the Asejere Youth Vanguard reaffirmed its collective support for the senatorial aspiration of Alhaji Abdulganiyu Olaoluwa Asejere, describing him as a leader whose public service record and people-centered approach align with the aspirations of the youth constituency.

Additionally, the Youth Vanguard reiterated its unwavering support for the reelection bid of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, whose administration has delivered impactful governance through infrastructure renewal, workers’ welfare, educational reforms, technological innovations, healthcare improvements, and enhanced local development. The group stated that mobilizing for Governor Adeleke’s continuity is not just political participation but a responsibility to safeguard ongoing progress.

The statement further noted that once inaugurated, the Vanguard will deploy its full force, strategic communication, grassroots synergy, civic sensitization, and youth-centered mobilization to advance both the senatorial project of Alhaji Asejere and the reelection movement of Governor Adeleke.

With the appointment of its executive council, the Asejere Youth Vanguard has positioned itself as an emerging force in youth political participation, committed to shaping discourse, strengthening representation, deepening voter consciousness, and championing the aspirations of leaders they consider competent, visionary and development-focused.
