AKINLEYE MOURNS PASSING OF ALHAJI FATAI DIEKOLA.

Osogbo, December 23, 2025.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Fatai Diekola, describing his death as a monumental loss to Osogboland, Osun State, and the political family he served with uncommon dedication.

In his condolence message, Alhaji Akinleye described the late Alhaji Diekola as a fearless political mobiliser, a committed progressive, and a man whose life was defined by service, loyalty, and an unyielding commitment to justice and the welfare of the people.

“I received with deep sadness the news of the passing of Alhaji Fatai Diekola, a political icon, community leader, and a man of rare courage and conviction. His demise is a painful loss not only to his immediate family but also to Osogboland and Osun State at large. He lived a life of service, standing firmly for justice, fairness, and the upliftment of the common people.

“He was a dependable ally and a voice for the voiceless. His contributions to politics and community development remain indelible, and his unwavering commitment to the cause of the people will continue to inspire generations yet unborn. Truly, a great man has fallen.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, associates, and the entire people of Osogboland. May Almighty Allah grant them the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

“May Almighty Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’alah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.”
