Aare Asejere Calls on Opposition Parties to Embrace Peace and Tranquillity.

Osogbo, August 22, 2026.

The 2027 Accord Senatorial Candidate for Osun Central, Aare Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa Asejere, has called on opposition political parties in Osun State to embrace peace and tranquillity, stressing that the wellbeing and collective interest of the state transcend partisan politics.

Aare Asejere made the appeal while reacting to the recent visit of the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

According to him, the President has made it clear that the outcome of the Osun State Governorship Election reflects the will of the people, who gave Governor Adeleke a renewed mandate to govern the state for another four years.

He recalled President Tinubu’s message to Governor Adeleke following the election: “The people of Osun have spoken. They have given you their mandate to govern them for another four years. Their will must prevail.”

The former Chairman of Olorunda Local Government Area urged political leaders and gladiators across the state to caution their supporters and encourage peaceful coexistence. He stressed that the peace, unity and stability of Osun must never be sacrificed on the altar of political rivalry.

Aare Asejere also called on citizens to remain law-abiding and desist from actions capable of causing unrest, division or instability, emphasising that, irrespective of political affiliation, Osun State belongs to all its citizens.

He further reiterated his commitment to providing purposeful and holistic representation for the people of Osun Central, with a focus on initiatives that will create opportunities and promote sustainable growth and development across the senatorial district.

Aare Asejere urged political leaders, party supporters and citizens to place the collective interest of Osun above partisan considerations and join hands with the government in building a peaceful, united and prosperous state.
