Osogbo, August 25, 2026.

The Osun Central Senatorial Candidate of the Accord Party for the January 2027 National Assembly Election, Aare Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa Asejere, has commiserated with the people of Ijabe Town in Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun State over the transition of His Royal Majesty, Oba Felix Olaniyan Oyeniyi Oyelade II, JP, the Onijabe of Ijabe Land.

In his condolence message, Aare Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa described the late monarch as a humble, peace-loving and God-fearing traditional ruler whose dedication to the promotion of peace, unity and development in his community was remarkable.

Aare Asejere noted that the monarch’s impactful and diligent service to his people, particularly his efforts to leverage the traditional institution to promote growth and development in Ijabe, would remain indelible in the annals of the community.

“There is no doubt that the Council of Obas in Odo-Otin and indeed, Osun State, has lost a highly revered royal father whose remarkable service and contributions to the peace, unity and development of his people will remain indelible.

“Kabiyesi served his community meritoriously and left behind a legacy worthy of remembrance. His transition is indeed a great loss to Ijabe, Odo-Otin and the entire Osun traditional institution.”

He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of Oba Felix Olaniyan Oyeniyi Oyelade II, JP, the Onijabe-in-Council, the people of Ijabe Town, the Odo-Otin Traditional Council and the people of Osun State.

He prayed that Almighty God would forgive the shortcomings of the departed monarch, accept his soul and grant him eternal rest, while granting the royal family, the people of Ijabe and the entire community the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
